K&C Wind Group Partners with WindPro Insurance
Provideds Maintenance Program for Wind Project Operators

NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA - Knight & Carver Wind Group has partnered with WindPro Insurance, one of the wind industry's leading insurance underwriters. The agreement provides a blade maintenance program which could lead to more favorable premiums and deductible levels for wind project operators.

Wind developers and project owners can now contract for a specifically designed plan for blade repair, service and maintenance that should significantly reduce insurance claims.

The plan requires regular inspections of blades including a lightning systems check. Making sure the system is working properly should ensure that there is less chance of catastrophic failure.

As a result, down time is reduced and repairs are kept to a minimum.

"This is another example of our company building strong alliances within the industry," said Knight & Carver's Business Development Director Gary Kanaby. "We couldn't be more pleased."

Under the arrangement, wind turbine owners will have blades inspected and repaired during the off-season, a time when shutting down the turbines will not adversely affect productivity.
