HOWARD, SOUTH DAKOTA - Knight & Carver Composites will hold a Grand Opening celebration of the company's new wind-blade production and repair facility in Howard, South Dakota on Friday, June 22, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Knight & Carver opened its Howard facility in March of this year. Built on a 7.2 acre site in the Howard Industrial Park, the 26,000 square foot facility serves as the company's prime blade headquarters.

The party is open to current and prospective clients of Knight & Carver, as well as invited guests and VIPs. It is expected that more than 300 people will attend, including South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds, along with staff members and his immediate family.

"We are proud to call South Dakota and Howard our new home," said Sampson A. Brown, President/CEO of Knight & Carver. "Hosting this grand opening party is one small way of showing our appreciation to the local, regional and state-wide officials as well as citizens who have been so cooperative and welcoming to our company along the way. We look forward to doing our part to help energize the South Dakota economy through the production/repair of wind blades that will accelerate the growth of wind energy at wind farms throughout the Upper Midwest and around the country."

The company is expected to employ as many as 50 full-time employees in 2007, with plans to expand to 100 employees within the first two years. A rural town of some 1,000 residents, Howard is located in the southeast region of South Dakota, some 8 miles northwest of Sioux Falls, S.D. The plant's Industrial Production Manager is Larry Person.
