NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA - Knight & Carver Wind Group has announced that it has dispatched blade-repair crews to wind farms in more than a dozen U.S. sites around the country. In doing so, nearly 100 employees have been hired.

Crews are working on repair projects in Southern California (Palm Springs), Missouri, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Vermont, Oregon, Texas, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, New York and Minnesota, with other projects scheduled for the near future.

Along with its expanded workforce, Knight & Carver Wind Group has announced the hiring of two new managers. David F. St. Amand has been hired as a process engineer to be located in the company's recently opened full-service blade production facility in Howard, S.D. He brings 28 years of experience in process engineering within the composites industry. He will be charged with writing manuals, work instruction guides, specification quality document and designing and improving total processes in blade repair and blade production.

Andrew Hammen has been named the Wind Group's first full-time account executive. He will be tasked with coordinating all new blade-related accounts, based at Knight & Carver's corporate headquarters in National City, Calif.

The company also has announced a name change for its wind energy division to Knight & Carver Wind Group. The name represents the company's broadened role within the industry. It replaces Knight & Carver Wind Blade Div., which has been used for the past several years.
