Knight & Carver to Build Blades for Northern Power
Fabrication Project Slated for K&C's California Facility
NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA - Knight & Carver Wind Group has reached agreement with Northern Power to build several preliminary sets of 10-meter wind blades for community-scale wind power generation.
The blades will be utilized on the Northwind 100 turbine, as produced by Northern Power. The Northwind 100 turbine is sized specifically for generating wind energy in a wide range of community wind applications in towns, schools and businesses around the world.
Knight & Carver's research and development team will be led by Craig Robinson (Composites Engineer) and Leo Martinez (Production Manager). In addition, Knight & Carver will provide Northern Power with manufacturing engineering support. The project begins immediately, with first-phrase product delivery expected by year-end.
All work will be conducted at Knight & Carver's full-service facility in National City, California, located south of San Diego.
