WIND INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC SAFETY TRAINING
CONFINED SPACE
Trains the proper techniques & hazards involved in and dealing with confined, small, thin or limited work areas. In addition, emphasis is placed on required precautions, tool use, protective measures and emergency equipment
operations.
FALL-PROTECTION (UP-TOWER)
Trains every employee on regulations requiring working with all height platforms, lifts, scaffolds, stairways, ladders, etc., with respect to guardrails, safety devices, warning mechanisms, harnesses, belts and lanyards, including the physics of working safely.
FALL PROTECTION (GROUND)
Trains on awareness and knowledge of all anchoring, hoists, belts, grounds, proper usage of tools and rescue mechanisms.
10-HOUR OSHA SAFETY
Overall occupational safety and health, including specific hazards on the job, awareness of all work environments and surroundings, and an emphasis on accident prevention.
RISK ASSESSMENT/GENERAL SAFETY
Health and safety training is a key part of working towards reducing accidents and ill health at work. Training will ensure that staff understand company procedures, are aware of workplace dangers, know how best to respond in dangerous situations and develop a positive work safety attitude.
PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST/RESPIRATOR FIT TEST
These are a group of tests that measure airflow in terms of how well an individuals lungs take in and release air and how well they move oxygen into the blood, in addition to medical certification in working with Personal Protective Equipment.
SELF-RESCUE/DESCENT
Trains on components of rescue that include familiarization and understanding of operating all rescue gear, components, parts assembly, inspections and real-life rescue scenarios that include Direct Rescue, Remote Rescue and Pick-Off Rescue.
